Yikes! Only 2 months left until the new year. It's amazing how time flies when you're having fun.

Here's the fun we had in the classroom today:

- Language Arts/Reading - compared and contrasted things using a Venn diagram, wrote a quiz on Max's Words, listened to a chapter from the Wizard of Oz

- Math - found the mean, median, mode, and range of data, as well as read and made a line plot

- Social Studies - explained the services that the government gives us - we watched a video and completed a Smartboard activity

- Science - distinguished between learned and instinct behavior


HOMEWORK:
1) Science - write the definition for behavior, learned behavior, and instinct behavior. Also, please give 5 examples of an instinct behavior and learned behavior.
2) Reading Log
3) Math - make a line plot using the data in the chart below. Also, please find the range, mean, and median of the data. Keep in mind there were 13 students in the survey. The mode of the data in this table will be 2 because there were 5 children that have 2 brothers and sisters.
