The morning was busy learning more Daily 5 routines and building stamina. The students are now able to read independently for 11 minutes and write for 9 minutes! Our focus lesson today was how to determine if a text is fiction or non-fiction. We also played a quick phonics game using words with short vowel sounds.
After lunch we had Social Studies and looked at several maps to differentiate between them and discuss which maps we could use.
In Math, we identified place value of numbers up to 999,999. We also reviewed the unit and played a review math BINGO game on the interactive whiteboard.
In ECA the students continued the surveys from yesterday and began to use their data and made a plan of how it can be presented.
