Today was busy from start to finish. Here's what happened:
Language Arts/Reading - Used prior knowledge to connect with a text, built Read to Someone stamina, and distinguished between statements, questions, commands and exclamations
Math - Reviewed the quiz from last week (please return quiz tomorrow), reviewed how to compare numbers and practiced showing which numbers are greater than, less than, or equal to, and began making our Interactive Notebooks. We also rounded numbers to the nearest ten or hundred.
Social Studies - used a map scale to tell distance between two places, and found ways that maps can be different from each other
Science - had a quiz on Unit 1
NEW SPELLING WORDS: (I'm sorry I forgot to include them on Friday's blog)
rural, urban, region, evidence, direction, temperature, principal, proud, eight, Monday
HOMEWORK:
1) Eng. p. 5 and 7
2) Language Arts - 5 spelling sentences - please choose the other 5 spelling words to make a sentence
NOTICES:
- PE tomorrow, wear your casual uniforms
