Apr. 19, 2017: Wednesday

It's getting nice and hot out there and I think the summer is finally here. Much better than the snow that keeps falling at my parents' house in Canada. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

This morning in Language Arts/Reading class, the students explored their research project topic and planned out the main ideas. We then went to the computer room to research information on the topic.

The boys were having a good game of Knock-Out today at lunch time.

We spent the whole Science class making the display and working on questions in the invention convention booklet. The displays are starting to look pretty good.

The teachers had a PD meeting during ECA so the students were busy rehearsing for tomorrow's Easter mass.

HOMEWORK:
1) Invention Convention booklet - please refer to your due dates and work on any pages in the booklet that need to be complete. You can also work ahead because the entire booklet must be completed by this Friday.

2) Headings for Display - please use Google Docs and write the following headings for your display: a) Problem    b) Solution    c) Final Drawing    d) About the Inventor   e) the title/name of your invention
You can color the letters and change the font to whatever you want, as long as it is easy to read. When you finish, please select "File" and then "Share" and type in my email address.

3) Language Arts - Spelling word story - please choose 8 spelling words and write a short paragraph using the words.

4) Reading Log

NOTICES:

Have a wonderful evening!

Mr. Y
