The Talented Third Graders were hard at work today:
- Language Arts/Reading - continued to read the Chocolate Touch, planned the outline of the research report, learned more new vocabulary for the new story, "Jump!", and capitalized more proper nouns
- Math - identified and described different plane figures. The students got to help decorate the class with making small vocabulary posters
- Social Studies - gave examples of ways people trade goods and services. The students worked in groups to try and barter different goods with each other.
- Science - reviewed last week's quiz, prepared for the Invention Convention
HOMEWORK:
1) English p. 86
2) Practice Invention Convention speech - you are all doing great. Again, try to not use the cards, but you may have them only as a reference if you forget something to say.
3) Reading Log - you can read Jump! if you like
4) Look for things around the house that
NOTICES:
- Invention Convention begins tomorrow. Please see yesterday's blog, or the Invention Convention blog for the schedule of what is happening and when parents can come to take a look.
- Please bring an extra shirt tomorrow in case you are sweaty after PE class because you will be presenting your invention in the convention right after PE.
- please return your quizzes tomorrow with the corrections completed
- Spelling test on Friday
