Apr. 26, 2017: Wednesday

Today was the first day of the Invention Convention, and we all saw some really cool inventions so far. Great job, kids!

To start the day, the students set up their inventions and displays and prepared one last time for the judging.

We then had enough time for Reading class and had Rei and Sophie do some storytelling about living in a tree house and being able to fly. After the stories we read Jump! and reviewed the vocabulary words. Finally, we tried to think of different abbreviations people use.

Just before lunch it was time to present the inventions. Everybody did a fantastic job! I'm very proud of you and all the hard work it took to put this project together (pictures are posted in the Invention Convention blog).

To end the day we had Science. We were able to finally begin the last unit on Matter (we will not be learning the last unit in the book). The students were able to describe some physical properties of matter.
