Apr. 28, 2017: Friday

Welcome to the last school day for April, and that only means one thing: one more month for this school year!  Scary and exciting. We will have a wonderful month full of activities in the classroom, more group work, and of course, writing practice.

Today in Language Arts the students shared their weekend plans, wrote a spelling test, and reviewed what we read so far in the Chocolate Touch to prepare for Monday's quiz.

During Math we identified, described, and classified different triangles.

In Science, we reviewed physical properties and measured and compared the mass and volume of solids and liquids.

1) Reading - Chocolate Touch comprehension questions - please copy the questions and answer in full sentences.  a) Describe Miss Plimsole in 2-3 sentences.  b) Why is John getting upset that he can eat chocolate all the time?   c) Explain why you think everything John eats is turning into chocolate?
d) If you were John, what flavor would you like things to change to?

- this is the last month of Grade 3. I hope we are ready to work hard for these next few weeks and continue to have fun.
