Oct. 17, 2016: Monday

Welcome to the start of Quarter 2! Once again, I'm so pleased with our Talented Third Graders and how great they have been so far this year. I will be meeting with each students this week to talk about goals for this quarter.

After Assembly this morning, the students were introduced to their new vocabulary for the story in Journeys, Max's Words.

In Math, we are following addition with learning subtraction. The students used subtraction rules to find differences. We used the interactive whiteboard to make math problems.

  

In Social Studies the students recognized the purpose of and need for government.

We will continue to learn about life cycles in Science, and explain different stages of life cycles.

HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 27
2) Picture Dictionary - please choose 6 vocabulary words to write a sentence and draw a picture of.
3) Reading Log

- if you want a vaccination, please return the blue form as well
