Oct. 27, 2016: Thursday

Good afternoon/evening parents and students. One more day left in the week, and it should be a fun one.

But, let's see what we did today in the grade 3 classroom:

- Language Arts/Reading - Continued to write a Halloween story, compared and contrasted Wizard of Oz characters, and worked with possessive adjectives.

- Social Studies - listed the different levels of government. Students worked in small groups and completed a jigsaw activity where they found information about a topic, and they will share it on Monday.

- Math - subtraction quiz

HOMEWORK:
1) Social Studies p. 6 in Jenny and the Government Fairy booklet
2) Secret Message: I see ghosts.
3) Reading Logs

NOTICES:
- spelling test tomorrow
- All Saints Day tomorrow - regular classes in the morning, followed by lunch and recess. After lunch break we will have time to change into costumes, and maybe watch a Halloween movie or play a game. We will then do activities in the G1, G2, and G3 classrooms from 1:30-2:30pm. Parents are welcome to come at that time to watch the Costume parade that will begin at 2:35pm. Prizes and announcements will occur at 3:25pm. Parents are also more than welcome to dress in a costume as well.

Have a great evening!

Mr. Y
