May 1, 2017: Monday

Well, we have officially entered the last month of school for the year. Our Talented Third Graders have been working hard all year preparing for grade 4 and we sadly only have one more month together.

The students got their brains working to start the day for a short quiz on the Chocolate Touch. We then reviewed the vocabulary words and parts of the story Jump!

In Math, we identified, described, and classified different four-sided figures. Students got to make some figures using different shapes.

Explaining how the price can be influenced by supply and demand was our objective in Social Studies.

Finally, the students identified properties of solids, liquids, and gases in Science.

During ECA, we had time to join our Reading Buddies from K2. It's great to see how well the K2 students have improved their reading from the beginning of the year.

HOMEWORK:
1) Science p. 361-362
2) Social Studies - My Future p. 15 - Supply and Demand
3) Reading Logs - students can begin to read the book they chose for the Final Project (it will be a book report, and more details will be explained later this week).

NOTICES:
- FIELD TRIP TOMORROW!  Please refer to the other half of your permission form to know what you need to bring tomorrow. But, please remember to bring your National Health ID, along with the following items: water bottle, healthy snack, change of clothes, or swimsuit (we will be playing in water), hat, sunscreen, etc.
