May 5, 2017: Friday

Welcome to the end of the week. The Talented Third Graders were very busy this week.

Today we began with a spelling test, and then began two science experiments so we can observe the results after lunch.

In Math, the students estimated and found the number of square units that cover a figure (finding the area).

After lunch we had Science. The students observed changes in matter through the experiments. We found that water evaporates much more quickly outside, and we observed the change in water temperature after we put ice in it.

Spelling Words for May 12 (last spelling test)
happily, ninth, nervously, difficult, important, area, liquid, lying, partners, quiver, ability, saving, perimeter, fraction, freeze, loyal, shift, patrol, snap, budget
