May 15, 2017: Monday

I hope all your moms and grandmas had a wonderful, lovely Mother's Day with your family.

To begin our last week of classes, and specialty final exam week, we had two Talented Third Graders recite the morning prayers. Great job, girls. Also, some money that the Student Council raised in a fundraiser was put towards buying some new balls for PE.

We read the rest of Aero and Officer Mike during Reading/Phonics and the students answered numerous comprehension questions.

In Math, we used different fractions to name the same amount (equivalent fractions).

The students wrote a quiz on Unit 9 in Science, and then in Social Studies the students were busy planning their business. They got to make their product, and practice their advertisement. Tomorrow they will act out their ad, and open their business to see how much profit they can make. They will be selling either paper airplanes, bookmarks, or fortune tellers. The grade 2 class will come and be involved as well.

HOMEWORK:
1) Book Report - you should be finished reading your book, and your worksheets should be completed as well (or near completion). Please begin your diorama/t-shirt if you haven't already, and also start planning how you will retell the story.

NOTICES:
- Christian Living final exam tomorrow
- Chinese final exam on Wednesday
- quiz on Aero and Officer Mike is on Wednesday
- there is a short quiz on Proper Nouns and Quotations on Thursday

Have a good evening!

Mr. Yaremchuk
