May 4, 2017: Thursday

It was another nice, hot sunny day!

Here's what the students did in our busy classroom today:

Language Arts/Reading - drafted a research report and wrote the conclusion, listened and responded to Chapter 8 in the Chocolate Touch, wrote a quiz on Jump!

Social Studies - wrote a quiz

Science - identified characteristics of "ooze" and explained what state of matter it is. They loved played with this stuff and had a fun time getting all messy. Check out the pictures below...

ECA - we used this time to start the new unit in Math, so the students estimated and measured the distance around a figure (perimeter).

HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 115
2) LA - research report first draft (due Monday, May 8). Please remember to double space, finish your introduction and conclusion, and please change 1-2 questions in your body paragraphs into an interesting statement.
3) Reading Log

NOTICES:
- spelling test tomorrow
- please wear your house shirts for PE tomorrow, and maybe bring an extra shirt because it's getting nice and hot and the kids are getting sweaty after running around outside

Enjoy your nice night.

Mr. Y
