May 12, 2017: Friday

One more week of classes, but final exams still begin next week.

After completing the spelling test this morning in Language Arts, we finished reading The Chocolate Touch and talked about the book.

In Math we reviewed perimeter and area, as well as found fractional parts of a group using manipulatives.

The students read about and described different types of chemical changes. We also predicted and then observed what happened when we put raisins into Sprite.

HOMEWORK:
1) The Chocolate Touch review worksheets - Chapter 11-12

2) Book Report - you should be finished reading your book, as well as near completion of all your worksheets. It would also be a good idea to begin your final product (diorama or t-shirt). Please bring your book next week and be prepared to read 2 pages from the book, using expression and tone. Here are some examples of a diorama and t-shirt:

NOTICES:
- some short quizzes next week - Science (Monday), Aero and Officer Mike (Wednesday), and English (Thursday). Please be sure to focus on the specialty final exams, as these quizzes are just short review quizzes.
- Final exams begin next week starting with Christian Living on Tuesday and Chinese on Wednesday

Have a great weekend!

Mr. Yaremchuk
