Feb. 9, 2017: Thursday

On this windy Thursday, the students put their brains to the test in all subjects except Science.

The day began with the usual combination of Language Arts/Reading and the students continued to write their stories by developing their plot.  The students had a pop quiz on adjectives, listened to another chapter of Frindle (only 2 left!!) and we also started something new: every week we will have two students that will choose a random story starter and tell that story to the class for 1-2 minutes. Our first volunteers were Rei and Sophie. They had to tell a story about an alien and falling off her bike, respectively, and they did a wonderful job.

Social Studies consisted of a quiz on Chapter 6. During Math, we used strategies to divide by 6 and also played a division game using the whiteboard.

In ECA, the students made their letter posters for Monday's Mass presentation.
