The students had a good first period presenting their Show and Tell. Most students brought a souvenir from another country so it was great to see all the objects. Well done Grade 3's!
During Math we began our Sports Day and the Houses had to work together for a scavenger hunt throughout the school playground. Great teamwork was shown from all the students in each house. They had a great time answering questions, figuring out puzzles, and trying to find objects. It was a great start to the Sports Day.
After lunch we had some classroom time. The quarter three final exams were handed back, and then we did more house cleaning (color Easter eggs for the Bulletin board, put our Q3 work in portfolios, and read The Lorax).
Sports Day kicked off again at 1:30pm and each house was rotated through different stations. A good time was had by all, and the overall Champion of Sports Day this year was the RED Team!!
The other awards were as follows:
Best Teamwork: BLUE team
Best Spirit: YELLOW team
Best Sportsmanship: GREEN team
It was great to see all the students having a great time, yet being a little competitive, but the best part was watching the mix of students working together. Well done everybody!
There will be more pictures on Monday.
