Mar. 24, 2017: Friday

Well the ITBS practice tests were finished today, and I believe the students are more prepared for next week. I'm confident that they will try their best and do a very good job.

The students wrote a spelling test to begin our Friday, followed by one last ITBS practice test.

In Math, the students measured classroom objects to the nearest half inch and quarter inch.

Reviewing why we have seasons, and comparing winters around the world were our objectives in Science. We also discussed the homework for the Invention Convention.

Spelling Words (Mar. 31)
meter, bunny, basket, spring, flowers, bloom, fresh, winter, Easter, summer, fall, phases, rainbow, teacher, running, grandparents, October, thirteen

HOMEWORK:
1) Invention Convention p. 9 in booklet, and rough draft of p. 10. Please complete your rough draft of p. 10 in your notebook, not the booklet

2) Reading Log - please finish reading Wally Amos (see yesterday's blog for the link to our Google Classroom)

3) Social Studies - Wally Amos response - please copy the questions in your notebook and answer in full sentences.
  a) How can you connect to Wally Amos (say something different than "I love cookies, too.)
  b) Give a part of Wally's life that may have been tough for him.

NOTICES:
- Report Cards were handed out today, please send me a message if you have any questions
- some students are running out of pages in their notebooks for some subjects. Please get some new notebooks if you need over the weekend so they will be ready when you have no more room in your book.
- ITBS testing will go on all next week from Monday - Friday. There are a total of 12 parts (some shorter than others). Please make sure you have a good pencil with a lot of lead and an eraser.

Have a splendid weekend!

Mr. Yaremchuk
