Mar. 28, 2017: Tuesday

Today was an ITBS day, as the students completed three of the tests.

We started the day with finishing Chapter 2 of The Chocolate Touch and began a new story in Journeys - Young Thomas Edison.

In Reading, the students completed the Reading and Comprehension test, Part 1.

In Math, the students completed the Math Concepts and Estimation test.

After lunch, the students completed the last ITBS test of the day in Social Studies.

To end the day, we described the phases of the moon.

HOMEWORK:
1) Reading - Compare and contrast your life now with Thomas Edison's life when he was 9 years old. Please write about 3 similarities and 3 differences.

2) Reading Log

NOTICES:
- I have an EARCOS teacher's conference in Malaysia this week from Thursday - Saturday so I will not be in the classroom for the rest of the week. The students will have a few different teachers covering my classes. I will be checking my email and Dojo messages throughout each day during my breaks in the seminars, so please message me if you have any questions or concerns.
- the blog will be updated everyday this week with the homework
- reminder to students to buy a new notebook for any classes (Science, Math, LA) if it is getting full.
- spelling test on Friday
- I told the students to keep the Invention Convention folder at home, but I think they should bring it back to school, please. They may be working on it during the week, and we need to add the rubric to it. Thank you.

Have a nice evening.

Mr. Y
