Mar. 21, 2017: Tuesday

We were back to our usual jam-packed, busy Tuesday schedule. Here's what went on in the Terrific Third Grader's classroom:

  • Language Arts/Reading - completed 2 practice ITBS tests, listened to the rest of Chapter 1 of The Chocolate Touch, reviewed how to retell stories, and practiced using end marks in sentences.
  • Math - completed the practice ITBS tests
  • Social Studies - began Unit 7 by discussing how people get what they need and making connections to personal experiences. Students worked in a group to explain some questions as well.

  • Science - Explain how the Earth's rotation is responsible for day and night.

HOMEWORK:

1) Social Studies - Please copy these questions into your notebook and answer them in complete sentences.
     a) What does Sloan do at the Farmer's Market?
     b) What did you learn about how people buy and sell goods?
     c) Have you been to a Farmer's Market? If so, what did you buy? Or what did you want to buy?

2) Reading - please complete the worksheet on Chapter 1 of The Chocolate Touch

NOTICES:
- tomorrow is PE day, please wear your casual uniforms
- just a reminder that the spring season is also known for students getting sick. Please always wash your hands frequently with soap.
- Spelling test on Friday
- Information about Summer Camp is available in the office. It should be a fun summer with the events they have planned.
- Secret Message - I love ice cream.

Have a lovely evening!

Mr. Yaremchuk
