Mar. 27, 2017: Monday

The last week of March is here, which means we are quickly approaching the end of the school year. This week will be very busy with ITBS testing every day. I'm breaking them up so the students won't feel so overwhelmed.

During Assembly this morning one of our Talented Third Graders was announced as the new Angel of the Week. Congratulations to Sophie for being the Angel.

 

After Assembly, we shared what happened over the weekend, and then did the first ITBS test (Vocabulary). Just a reminder, that there may be some tests that you will not have enough time to complete. Remember to work carefully, try your best on the questions, and do the easy ones first. We also had some time remaining to read half of Chapter 2 in the Chocolate Touch.

Before lunch we had Math and the students measured length in metric units (centimeters cm).

In Social Studies, we reviewed the difference between wants and needs and the students made a collage. We also distinguished between abundance and scarcity.

The students described the different phases of the moon in Science.

HOMEWORK:

1) LA: Vocabulary Sentences- please choose 8 vocab words and write 4 questions and 4 exclamations while using one vocablary word in each sentence.

2) Social Studies - vocab worksheet - please complete the first page using the words: needs, wants, scarcity, abundance

NOTICES:

- ITBS testing has begun, and the students will complete a few of them every day this week.

- Spelling test this Friday
