Today the students were involved in small group work, learning new vocabulary and building!

To be more exact, here's what happened in Grade 3 today:

• Language/Reading - students decided on a topic to write for their personal narrative, wrote a quiz on Cardigan Jones, and played with rhyming words
• Math - used addition properties to add, played adding games
• Social Studies - described how weather and climate affect living things
• Science - all groups are nearly completed the tower, and others are working on written portion of the building project

 

Toward the end of the day, we were invited to watch the Grade 4 do a Social Studies presentation.

 

HOMEWORK:

1) Social Studies p. 57, only do #4 and #5

2) Math p. 18

3) Reading Logs

NOTICES:

- PE class tomorrow, please wear your casual clothes

- Spelling test on Friday - you can start studying by choosing 4 words today and focus on them

- I sent out a message on Dojo regarding a Parent representative for G3. More information was in the last newsletter that was passed out at the beginning of September. If you are interested in being the G3 Parent representative, please let me know.
