Sept. 5, 2016

Today is the first Monday of September, and the weather is already starting to feel slightly less hot.

Our Talented Third Graders will be the readers this week for morning and lunch prayers. Ahmrae and Sophie were the first to read at Assembly. Great job girls!

For Reading class, the students completed their Daily 5 duties before learning some new vocabulary words from the new Journeys story, "The Trial of Cardigan Jones."

Naming and counting coins and bills was the objective in Math, and Social Studies the students had a quiz.

Science was a lot of fun as the students used the design process to make a catapult. They made a plan, tested, redesigned, measured, and then communicated the results. The catapult that launched the eraser the farthest belonged to the Blue Penguins. Great job from everybody and it was a close competition. Awesome work students!
