Chapter 1

– ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands (standard,
expanded, and word form)

Finding a number pattern
Chapter 2
1) Comparing numbers
– greater than, less than, equal to
2) Putting numbers in order
– greatest to least, least to greatest 3) Rounding – to the nearest
ten, hundred, thousand
4) Read a bar graph
Chapter 3
1) Counting coins and bills
– (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, dollar bill)

– count up to 100 when making change

Language Arts Exam will be on Tuesday,
October 11, 2016
Here
are the main points of what you should study:
Unit 1 – The Sentence
Types of sentences (exclamation,
question, command, statement), and the end marks for each one (period,
exclamation, question mark).
Be
able to identify the subject and predicate of sentences.
How
to correct run-on sentences.
Unit 2 - Nouns
1) Common and proper nouns.
2) Singular
and Plural nouns (know the rules of when to add, “-s, -es, or -ies”
3) Special
plural nouns.
4) Singular
and Plural possessive nouns
Writing and Proofreading
1) You will need to write a short
personal narrative. Please remember how to write a good beginning and ending,
and organize your details.
2) All
spelling words from the spelling tests. You will need to
find misspelled words and spell them correctly.
Reading and Phonics
There will be 2 parts to the Final Exam:
1)
Written exam on Thursday,
October 13, 2016.
2) Oral
exam throughout exam week – October 6-13, 2016.

During exam week, you will
read a selection and be graded on the strategies we have been learning in the
CAFE menu during Daily 5, with a focus on the following:

Identify fiction and non-fiction
