Sept. 29, 2016

Hopefully all of your homes and families stayed safe during the scary typhoon.

It was a busy day trying to catch up on missed lessons, but the students responded very well and we got many things accomplished today, such as:

Language Arts/Reading - began writing the draft for a personal narrative, identified the problem and solution of stories, and made special nouns plural.

Social Studies - distinguished between agricultural and industrial regions. The students held a debate and had to describe which region would be the best to move to.

Math - added three or more addends using columns.

ECA - half was used for Science in which the students described the plant life cycle and the other half was preparing for our presentation of Friendship for Monday's Assembly.

HOMEWORK:
1) Math p. 23
2) Eng. p. 29
3) Reading Log

NOTICES:
- Spelling test tomorrow
- it's Friday tomorrow, please wear your House shirt so your team can have the most!
- reminder to hand in your permission slips for the field trip. Due date is tomorrow.
- quarter 1 final exams begin next week (Chinese, PE, Health, Art, Music, Christian Living, Computer). Study guides will be handed out tomorrow.

Have a wonderful evening!

Mr. Yaremchuk
