This morning in Language and Reading, we:
- showed how to explore and organize a topic when writing
- named the characters of stories
- reviewed chapter 1 in the English book (quiz on Tuesday)
We had the Math quiz right after lunch time, and Social Studies was at the end of the day. We completed the group Vehn diagram on communities, held a debate over which community was better to live in (rural or urban), and also reviewed Unit 1 as we have a quiz on Monday.
During the lunch recess we had our middle school students present their speech to persuade the students to vote for them. They were competing for our Student Council President and Vice-President for the school. In ECA, we had our secret ballot voting, and the results will be announced at Monday's assembly.
HOMEWORK:
1) Social Studies p. 38-40
2) LA - choose 6 spelling words and write a sentence of at least six words for each word
NOTICES:
- please wear your Sports Day shirts tomorrow to try and get more points for your house at lunch time
- Spelling test tomorrow
- we had to re-measure the students for their shirts, but it's all sorted out now, and everyone should have a nice House colored shirt soon.
Have a lovely evening.
Mr. Yaremchuk
